We visited the book fair this morning, it was so much fun. The children shared the books with their friends, took care of them and thought about which one was their favourite.
Pumpkin bonanza! Today we went on a hunt around the school for some pumpkins. They were hidden everywhere and it was our job to find them. The children were excellent at spotting them and they even noticed that they had numbers on them. They recognised the numbers on the pumpkin and then put them in order. Afterwards we split into two groups and all had a go at carving out a pumpkin. We decided to create a happy pumpkin together! Towards the end of the week we all got involved with chopping the pumpkins. The slow cooker was used to cook the ingredients for 4 hours. We tasted the soup and most of us enjoyed the taste!
Our children learn through play. They are engaged and excited, following their interests. Here are some wonderful photographs of their learning in Week 3.
Apple Class made the most of a really windy day! They decided they wanted to make kites to fly on the playground. The kites were a huge successs and they worked really well! When flying them the children realised they had to run really fast and hold their string close to the kite.
This week Apple Class have been really busy preparing for the Nativity and the Christmas Fair. During Child Initiated time the children have been busy writing lists for Santa, wrapping presents, delivering presents, decorating snowmen, playing in the leaves, drawing in chalk outside and playing hide and seek. We can't wait to perform our play next week, you will be blown away!
