Your children returned after the Christmas break refreshed and ready to learn. They have been sharing their '12 Days of Christmas' home learning, with many of them making wonderful journals. In Santa's Workshop they have been writing thank you letters to Santa, making lists of all the wonderful presents they received and drawing thank you pictures for their parents. No matter what the weather is like, we love the great outdoors! We have been practising our throwing, catching and balancing skills. Some children have even been making up their own versions of 'musical chairs' outside. We have been learning about coins and how much they are worth, playing games on the interactive whiteboard.
Science Week has been so much fun! The children have been investigating whether birds prefer colour in their seed, how to free frozen toys, dropping balloons filled with paint from different heights, listening to classical musical whilst creating nature poems and they took part in a forensic workshop! They also took part in the Science Association poster competition and we awarded one little boy with the 'Scientist of the Week' for being a super scientist.
