On Wednesday we visited Pizza Express in Tonbridge. The number 7 bus took us from Hadlow Square to Tonbridge Castle. Upon arrival we all received an apron and hat then washed our hands thoroughly. We carefully flattened the dough and placed it into the tray. Next we carefully spread a layer of tomato sauce onto the base. Mozzarella cubes and a dash of oil were the last ingredients sprinkled onto our pizzas. After just five minutes in a burning hot oven our pizzas were ready to box up and take back to school. Thank you so much to all our lovely helpers and thank you to the children who were all impeccably behaved! What a brilliant day!
We have had so much outdoor fun this week. The children have been using their maths skills in many ways; measuring items in the garden, playing snakes and ladders and target games, using the timer for the bikes and scooters and talking about capacity using water. The weather went from quite chilly on Monday to boiling hot on Thursday and Friday. We cooled off with a sprinkling of water from the hose and the children filled up a large bucket to dip their legs into.
