Today, Cherry Class went on a walk around Hadlow Village to learn about the immediate environment that surrounds our school. We were asked to observe the physical and human features around our school, as well as the special people that make up our community. We had a very enjoyable morning out and learnt so much about our home, Hadlow.
On Thursday, we were lucky enough to have a Judo lesson from Steve. We learnt some of the important skills that are needed for Judo and also the important safety tips. Some of us now really want to join judo club this term; it was a really fun and exciting afternoon!
In the first week of Cherry Class, we have been getting to know the new rules and routines of Year Two. We have also been focusing on our own wellbeing and team work. Miss Chapman set us a tricky challenge; to build the tallest tower possible using only dry spaghetti and marshmallows. At first, we found this really tricky, but with a growth mind set and resilience our finished models were quite impressive!
