The big day has finally arrived... the wedding of Jennifer and Henry! The service was held at St Mary's Church by Reverend Paul White and was a truly magical experience. Of course, the real reason for the mock wedding was to help develop the children's knowledge and understanding of Christian marriage, but it didn't stop the Teachers from having a tear along the way! All children participated positively and played their significant role with confidence. A special well done to Jennifer and Henry for delivering their vows so beautifully. A truly special day for Cherry Class and a huge congratulations to the beautiful bride and handsome groom. Please enjoy the photos below, which were taken by our photographers; Vinnie, Evelyne, Harley and Buddy.
We revised what we already know about 2d and 3D shapes and then Miss Chapman set us some shape challenges. We had a variety of classroom resources and she gave us a set time to gather our resources and make a given 2d or 3D shape in teams. Nader, Jennifer and Buddy were the winners with 3 points!
Today we were set the challenge of collecting data and using it to create our own bar charts. We decided to focus on three questions; What is your favourite colour? What is your favourite food? Who do you think will win the World Cup? Each child chose which question they would like to investigate. We then went into the village and visited shops and stopped and chatted to local people to find out what they would choose. The most popular colour was blue, the favourite food was a mixture of all unhealthy things and the winning World Cup team was... England! Fingers Crossed!
Sunny has been Baptised!
Today, Cherry Clas visited the local Church to attend the baptism of our class mascot, Sunny the Meerkat. Rev Paul White lead the service and the proud parents and godparents welcomed Sunny into the Christian church. We are all very proud of Sunny, he was a very well behaved boy! In the afternoon we reflected on the Christian service and the symbols that were used throughout.
