Chestnut term 5

Term 5

Week 4

This week in RE we have been learning about festivals celebrated across a range of different religions. We looked particularly at Diwali and we created our own divas.

Week 3

This week we have been learning all about famous magicians, including David Blaine, Harry Houdini, David Copperfield and Dynamo.

We have been writing non fiction posters, which are now on display in the classroom.

Week 2
This week we started our week with a Science day, the children learnt all about our new topic of Electricity. We created simple circuits and learnt about renewable and non renewable electricity in our world. We also learnt about how much electricity we use daily, the children were amused and intrigued to find out the journey of a banana and how much electricity it takes to get to our hands.

We have been doing some fantastic readers theatre this morning on our story of Leon and the place between.
