Religious Education and Collective Worship
We aim to provide a wide and balanced curriculum, which promotes the spiritual, moral and cultural development of pupils. It prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.
Religious Education is of a broadly Christian nature with the opportunity to experience the traditions of other cultures and beliefs. We emphasise care and respect for others and their property.
Social and moral issues are considered in assemblies which are held every day.
Whole school assemblies take place on two days each week. One of these assemblies is used to celebrate the successes of the children. The school is also fortunate to have good links with the village church, and has a weekly assembly led by the vicar from this parish. Separate key stage assemblies are held twice a week.
Parents have a legal right to withdraw their children from Religious Education and assemblies, and those wishing to do so should contact the Head Teacher.
