Conservation: Save our Planet!
Our Stunning Start this term was a 7 mile walk around Hadlow and the surrounding area, all the children behaved beautifully and enjoyed various geographical activities.
Throughout our topic we have been questioning our impact on our planet. We have analysed a variety of different texts and debated an array of important topics. We finished our topic by creating a conservation picture book; this included all the literary techniques we have been learning about.
As part of our topic enrichment we used local produce to develop crumble recipes – the tasting session was great!
We have been extending our knowledge of number through active maths, reasoning and algebra games.
Our focus this term has been ‘Living Things and Their Habitats’ (classification). We have dissected plants, conducted several yeast experiments and researched various styles of classification.
