Children to draw/invent their own Mr Man/Little Miss character on a small piece of paper.

Annotate it with expanded noun phrases and other types of descriptive language to describe its appearance and its personality. 

 

Are you similar or different to this character and why? Write a sentence.  

 

Use the boxing up structure to plan the middle and end of your Mr Men story.  Bullet point ideas for each section in turn. This should really develop the concept of a beginning, middle and end.  

Children to use the template attached to plan their adapted versions of a Mr Men book, with their own character.  

Verbally retell their story. Does it flow? Make sense?
