Today, we will be looking at he prefixes im, in, ir, il.
Look through the power point provided below and then choose an activity to complete. This is also a good opportunity to practise your spellings of the week. See if any of these root words can have any of the prefixes added to them to change the meaning of the word.

This week, we are planning and writing an open letter to the community asking for help. We are asking for help with improving the 'Quiet Area' in our school playground.
Today, we will be exploring the layout and peruasive devices used to write a persuasive letter. Read through the power point below and then watch the recorded lesson revising persuasive devices from last term. (This uses the meumonic A FOREST and a poster below has been provided as a visual aid)
The aim of the worksheet today is to try identify persuasive devices used in the example letter.
Today, you will plan and begin to write your letter. There are two tasks:
- There is a planning template to guide you, in planning your letter.
- On the letter template (or lined paper), please copy the addresses as provided and today's date, ready to write your letter in best tomorrow.
Friday 5th February- Comprehension
This week there are questions to answer about the digestive system. There are three levels of difficulty to choose from. The second passage and set of questions is the best level for the majority of the children working at home. Encourage using the heading to help locate infomation for answering qustions.
