We junk modelled computers and labelled the parts.
We acted out a new ending for the story Jack and the Beanstalk. Later we wrote our story endings.

Set work for home is as follows:
- Mathletics. Please make a start on the fractions section working on halves. Spend about 20-30 minutes on this. If you have difficulty getting onto Mathletics then practice finding half of numbers using manipulative such as counters.
- Quarters and halves work sheet.
- Phonics work sheet and game.
- Reading comprehension
The worksheets will be sent home with the home learning books on Thursday 6th February. Please return the completed work on Tuesday 11th February to put in the children’s books.

Here we are sharing groups of natural objects into halves.
We tried to make our own spin driers!

Miss Hooper demonstrated some experiments with dry ice.
We talked about global warming and the effect on polar bears. We tried to see how quickly we could melt our mini-icebergs. The group who moved their icebergs near the radiator melted fastest!
We made observations of different materials being heated. Would they melt?
Year Six Science Fair
The creatures that came to meet us were beautiful and fascinating. We learnt so many interesting facts.
Mrs Fisher came and talked about separating materials. She left us with the puzzle of how to separate salt from water.
