Going to school heroes! Week One
Counting even numbers outside in the sunshine!
Today, we set fire to our Tudor houses to re-enact the Great Fire of London. It was terribly exciting!
In Maths, we were timing activities in minutes and seconds. We also completed matching activities relating to time vocabulary.
We made these amazing Tudor houses, today. We worked collaboratively and thought carefully about where the beams go.
During assessment this week, we showed off what we can do by choosing from lots of different activities.
We worked as a team to make our printed book cover.
After listening to Lila and the Secret of Rain, we made our own rainstick using cardboard, rice, silver foil and masking tape. The older children helped the younger ones in this mixed class activity.
The drama workshop in the hall was based on the story 'The Whale and the Snail' by Julia Donaldson. It was so much fun and a winner was chosen.
Book week culminated in the traditional parade in the hall to show off the costumes. Choosing winners is a huge task and the standard in Plum Class was amazing this year. Well done, everyone!
We love volleyball! We are getting good at serving already and we practiced aiming at chairs.
Today, we drew clocks to begin our topic on time.
